Why Homeschool Families Love Our Summer Preview Series

July 9, 2026

How do you keep your homeschooler active, engaged, and connected throughout the summer?

As summer begins, many homeschool families start looking for opportunities that help their children stay active, build friendships, and continue learning in meaningful ways.

At Gravity Gymnastics in Miramar, our Homeschool Summer Preview Series was created to give families a chance to experience movement-based learning in a fun, supportive environment. Throughout the summer, students have explored activities that promote confidence, coordination, physical literacy, and social development—all while having fun and making new friends.

As our Summer Preview Series comes to a close on July 29, we're reflecting on why so many families have enjoyed being part of the program and why we're excited to continue serving homeschool families through our Homeschool PE Program this fall.

What Is the Homeschool Summer Preview Series?

Our Summer Preview Series was designed to introduce homeschool families to the benefits of structured physical education through movement-based activities.

Students participated in age-appropriate games, gymnastics-based activities, obstacle courses, and exercises that helped develop:

• Strength and coordination
• Balance and body awareness
• Confidence and independence
• Social interaction and teamwork
• Healthy movement habits

The goal was simple: provide children with a fun, active environment where they could learn through movement.

Why Families Have Loved the Program

A Fun Way to Stay Active

Many homeschool families are looking for opportunities that keep children active throughout the week.

Our Summer Preview Series gives students the chance to run, jump, climb, balance, and explore movement in a safe and engaging setting.

Physical activity not only supports healthy growth but also helps children improve focus, energy levels, and overall well-being.

Building Confidence Through Movement

One of the biggest benefits families notice is the confidence children gain through movement.

Every time a child learns a new skill, completes an obstacle, or overcomes a challenge, they begin to develop confidence in their abilities.

These small victories help children build self-esteem that extends beyond the gym.

Opportunities for Social Connection

Homeschool families often seek programs that allow children to connect with peers in a positive environment.

Our Summer Preview Series has provided opportunities for students to:

• Meet new friends
• Practice communication skills
• Work together during activities
• Build confidence in group settings

These experiences help children develop important social skills while having fun.

Learning Through Movement

Movement is a powerful tool for learning.

Research continues to show that physical activity supports cognitive development, focus, memory, and problem-solving skills.

By combining movement with structured activities, children are able to develop both physically and mentally.

Looking Ahead to Fall

As our Summer Preview Series wraps up, we're excited to continue offering opportunities for homeschool families through our Homeschool PE Program.

Our fall program will continue focusing on movement, confidence-building, physical literacy, and social development while providing students with a fun and engaging learning environment.
